W20 Presidencies
The Presidency of the W20 rotates each year along with the G20 Presidency and according to their rota. The timing can also move about by month depending on the G20 timetable. The Group of Twenty (G20) is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. It plays an important role in shaping and strengthening global architecture and governance on all major international economic issues.
The current year’s Presidency is India and their year runs from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023.
The previous year, current year and next year form what is known as “The Troika”. The current Troika consists of Indonesia, India and Brazil. This allows a smooth transition of work from the Past Presidency, Indonesia, to the current Indian Presidency and then on to Brazil for 2024.
Each year our Presidencies have had their own “in Country” website and the previous websites are listed and linked below. Please take a look for more information on all the public events held during their Presidency years.
